Edition Notes	'Steve [Ferlauto] provided the detailed typographic analysis from which the blocks were made by Royal Engraving of La Crosse, Wisconsin. He also provided the tonal decision on the alphabet drawings. I translated these into collage and windows. The backsides of the letters form another panel for collage. These are a more intuitive and personal response to the structure of each preceding letter. ... The paper, formed over the summer of 1998, is a mix of abaca and linen fiber with color coming from scraps of cotton clothes. It was created to remind one of vellum and to interact with the engraved line to produce a mark that seems more drawn than printed. M & H: Foundry and Composition cast the Cochin Light used as the text type and Judi Conant built the containers. Additional type and paper reflect my acquiring nature. This book is editioned in twenty-six copies with an additional five built specifically for Mario Lovergine, Tons Brunes, David Godine, the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, and the Lindisfarne Association...'--Colophon. Contains collages of paper, string and colored wire, with hand-painted accents. Small geometrical shapes have been cut out of the pages. Limited ed. of 26 copies. Issued in case.
