Edition Notes	Consists of irregularly cut, accordion folded black leaves with text in silver lettering describing Boua Xou Mua at home, followed by lyrics of Gaeng: Midnight song. Sound disc of Mua singing Hmong songs and performing on traditional instruments, in pocket of case. Biographical and program notes in English, lyrics in Hmong with English translations, inserted in sound disc container. Limited ed. of 123 copies. Title of compact disc: Music of the Hmong people of Laos. Publisher no. on sound disc: CD 446. "Midnight Song was printed in spring, 1998, watched over by the biopthalmachromate dog. The Vernal Equinox marked the half-way point of the printing. The Root River Mill paper, made by Michael Nitsch, is comprised of old army shirts (Jim's, from 1959) and abaca. The papermill and print shop are now at the Milwaukee Enterprise Center, moved in summer, 1997. The inks are Handschy silver offset and Ernie's black. The type is Amos' wooden type and Stempel 24 point Optima bought from N.A. Graphics. The edition numbers 123..."--Colophon. Issued in a clamshell case covered with black cloth, with three small decorative stitches in magenta thread on front.
