| Artist Bio | Zengxiang Fu, known as Huanshu (pseudonyms) was born in Sichuan, China. Fu was a Hanlin Academy bachelor and Guizhou education commissioner. He is a renowned bibliophile. He went overseas to collect ancient Chinese books including many manuscripts written in Sung (960-1279), Yuan (1271-1368) and Ming (1368-1644) dynasty. To preserve all his books, he built a library called “Cang Yuan” in Beijing, China. |

| Description | Watermark: 1) made by owner of Qing Mi Ge, Guandai Wu in the first week of August, 1907; 2) Chinese plums are used as a metaphor for purity and modesty. They symbolize a personality of not ingratiating oneself with authority or powerful figures. Who would say that north-facing branches which suffer more challenges in winter are callous? I think they are like elegant and graceful belle in forests. |

| Main Text | I look for an elegant and a subtle landscape from a richly chased window and between beautiful and precious bamboo shoots. Spotlessly white stone and chilly spring water are spiritual. They seem understand my wishes. |
