| Artist Bio | Boying Zhang, born in Jiangsu, China, was a renowned calligrapher in the late Qing dynasty and early Republic of China. Zhang came from an academic and artistic family. Both his father and grandfather excelled at calligraphy. Zhang received very good education and training. He displayed his talents for regular-script calligraphy at an early age. An unrestrained, energetic and strong brush style is one of its features. |
