October 24, 1937. Rio de la Plata: Five miles off shore from Montevideo. A large vessel is steaming out to sea. We followed it for this picture because of the great track of mud that its screws had stirred up. (The ""Graf Spee"" was later sunk near here.) 3800 feet.
