Photographer's Note	November 29, 1937. 20 miles south of Lourenco Marques, Mozambique: Seven elephants in a group seen at close range. Four of these were watching the airplane. Usually they form a circle facing outward, their trunks raised to bellow at the noisy bird passing overhead, perhaps as a means of protection to the baby elephants crowded in the eenter of the ring. 200 feet or less. 08:00.
