The European population is about 1300 and the buildings have been so widely scattered that one hardly realises he is in a town. The head offices of the Northern Rhodesia Livestock Cooperative Society, the Northwestern Rhodesia Farmers Cooperative Society, and the Cooperative Creamery of Northern Rhodesia are situated here.
