November 23, 1937. Wolseley, C.P.: These three pictures form a group or panorama when joined vertically. No. 15 is the highest. The view is toward the east from a position just about over Wolseley. In the background the Hex River Mountains limit the view and a spur of these mountains runs off to the left. The Breede River is issuing though Mitchell's Pass from the valley in which Ceres lies. At the extreme right is a portion of Fonteinjenberg, a mountain twice as high as Table Mountain and now used by the ski club of South Africa for winter sports. The irrigated land in the foreground is devoted chiefly to grapes since this country is famous for its raisin export. 9600 feet. 11:05.
