A home movie of the Platt Family and friends having a waterside picnic. It begins with the building of the fire and then the preparation and cooking of meat on a spit. The scene pans over to Robert Platt's children who are under a tree. Platt's daughter, Nancy, is seen playing with a bug sprayer. The cooking continues as Harriet Platt, her children, and another are at the shore attempting to shoo away a horse that is wading nearby in the water. The final scene shows the entire party under a tree enjoying their freshly made meal.
