Photographer's Note	September 26, 1937 - Flight from Puntarenas to San Jose, Costa Rica. Puntarenas, Costa Rica: The short emergency landing strip (about 1000' long) at the tip of the narrow peninsula, Note the airplane (a 'Travellair 6000') on the runway. We slipped into this emergency field after failure to reach the larger airport 5 miles from town, due to heavy seasonal rains. 600 feet. 10:00.
