Lopburi's best known landmark is Phra Prang Sam Yot,
the former Hindu Shrine located close to the railway station.
The laterite and sandstone structure was constructed in
the Lopburi style and decorated with stucco. The three
towers signify the Hindu Trinity of Brahma the Creator,
Vishnu the Preserver and Shiva the Destroyer. During the
reign of King Narai the Great the shrine was converted to
a Buddhist temple.
