Photographer's Note	The Kawasaki heavy industry district as viewed from the air over the Kawasaki-Yokohama city line.Most of this land is reclaimed, having been filled by materials brought from the water channels which serve it. The result is flat tidewater sites. A steel plant is one of Japan's largest chemical concerns. Power stations, cement plants, oil storage units and refineries, flour mills, shipbuilding concerns, and coal storage yards also occupy sites here. COURTESY OF SANGYO KEIZAI NEWSPAPER.
