.
Stalls
like
these were
found
wherever
people
congregated
. The
businesses
were
well
patronized
and
enjoyed
.
Food
was
usually
served
in
clay
bowls
and
chop
sticks
were
provided
.
Tea
was
always
available
. In the
austere
life
of the
time
this was a
special
treat
and an
opportunity
to
socialize
while
enroute
to a
destination
. The
poverty
of the
area
can
be
seen
in the
make
shift
roofs
using
tiles
,
straw
and
mats
for
protection
against
the
elements
.
