Photographer's Note	Outdoor shops serving food were located at the entrance of Luliang. Stalls like these were found wherever people congregated. The businesses were well patronized and enjoyed. Food was usually served in clay bowls and chop sticks were provided. Tea was always available. In the austere life of the time this was a special treat and an opportunity to socialize while enroute to a destination. The poverty of the area can be seen in the make shift roofs using tiles, straw and mats for protection against the elements.
