Photographer's Note	The road to the village offers a tranquil walk past thatched roof huts and tiled roof houses of mud brick. Spring has come to Yunnan and the apple, peach and cherry trees are in blossom. The mild climate of Yunnan was excellent for plant growth. Its temperature ranged from 60 to 80 degrees and it was not uncommon to see palm trees, evergreens and deciduous trees clustered in a small area. The Kunming area of Yunnan was located on the same latitude as Miami, Florida, but at higher elevations (6000 feet above sea level). Many of the world's azalea and rhododendron strains originated here.
