Description	Title card reads: "Bonnie, who started treatment at 17 months, has mild spastic hemiplegia of the right side. She is first encouraged to use her right hand as a helper." A child walks across the floor with the aid of a therapist pushing a wooden duck on a handle, sits at a table working with various therapy aids, and walks up and down stairs. The next title card reads: "Janie, who started treatment at 2 years has a spastic quadriplegia. Table exercises are followed by walking training." A child undergoes various therapies and exercises. The film continues with various forms of treatment – swallowing, drinking, and playing. The next title card reads: "Speech training for children starts at 2 years. Ear phones are used in testing hearing, and magnify word sounds to focus [the] child’s attention." A speech therapist works with a small child. The next title card reads: "For little children handicapped since birth, each new skill is a step toward a more hopeful future as a useful participant in family and community life."
