The Pumping Station was located at the end of North Street. It drew lake water from an offshore intake. The water was pumped into a reservoir in Kilbourn Park. The standpipe was built above the Pumping Station at the top of the hill and enclosed by the watertower structure (North Point Water Tower). The equipment for the Pumping Station was produced by Edward P. Allis company, Reliance Works in Milwaukee.
