Description	In 1881 the Board of Normal Regents decided to establish State of Wisconsin Normal School #5, later known as the Milwaukee State Teachers College. The Girls' Trade School was located in the building after the Normal School moved to the Downer campus in 1909. The building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
