Description	Civilians digging trenches in front of the Zachęta National Gallery of Art at the Małachowski square. The gallery was built by the Society for the Encouragement of the Fine Arts (Towarzystwo Zachęty Sztuk Pięknych) at end of the 19th century. In the background: Peowiak Monument commemorating Polish Military Organization from 1914. The monument was destroyed in 1940 and reconstructed in 1999.
