Artist Bio	Bangda Dong was also known as Feiwen (courtesy name) and Dongshan (pseudonym). He was born in Fuyang, Zhejiang, China in 1699. In 1733 he served as a junior compiler in the Hanlin Academy and participated in the compilation of the first edition of Shih-ch'ü pao-chi (a catalog of paintings and calligraphy in imperial collection) and later was promoted to a minister in the Ministries of Works and of Rites. Dong's work reflects aesthetic influence of Yuan Dynasty. He likes to use a dry brush to depict mountains and peaks in landscape paintings.
作者生平	董邦達字孚聞，非聞，號東山。浙江富陽人。西元1733年得中進士，被授翰林院編修。曾於乾隆時期（西元1744年）參與「石渠寶笈」編纂。官禮部尚書，能畫山水，取法元人筆觸，擅長展現枯筆意法的元朝繪畫美學。
