Kuijun Sun born in Jiangsu, China, specialized in poems and calligraphy. He was well-known for his poems and his skinny- golden-style calligraphic writing. In 1902, Sun and Zhihui Wu (1864-1953) studied in Japan. They were involved in a protest and it led to their deportation. After returning to China, Sun served as a senior secretary in the ministry of education. He continued studying calligraphy and devoted himself to it after his retirement.
