The Mountain God's Quiver is created as part of a annual festival in which 'Every hill and mountain peak is topped with a giant quiver of arrows to enable the particular mountain god to protect himself from hostile [neighbor] gods. Once a year the quivers (lob-tse) of the nearby peaks are replenished with giant arrows by the resident tribes.
