'Chorten: These shrines of the ashes of departed high lamas and Living Buddhas Pilgrims walk around and around them as an act of purification. The mausoleum of one of the especially holy Tibetan lamas is the great monastery at Lhabrang. Devotional religious processions are almost constantly being made around this and other similar tombs.'
